Add life to their years by identifying and preventing cognitive decline

Dementia is the biggest health challenge of our time. Five Lives' app helps users improve their cognitive health by tracking five lifestyle factors that have a significant impact: physical activity, diet, stress and mood, mental stimulation, and sleep.

Working as part of the team at Proxy Studios, we helped create the Five Lives brand, including the brand identity, website and UI system, and a custom wordmark.

The logo design strikes a balance between approachability and scientific authority.

The custom lettering features unique ink traps and is designed to mirror the half asterisk shape that represents the shape of a brain.

The left side of the logo represents the analytical left side of the brain and refers to the extensive scientific research behind the Five Lives program. The symmetry of the "F" and "L" letters on the right side symbolises the artistic side of the brain.

We created a cohesive brand guidelines document that provides rules on the application of the visual identity across different executions. This ensures consistency and inspires best usage for Five Lives designers, developers and creators.
